![]() ![]() ![]() In fact the song was written out of a place where the worship leader felt like he was facing a giant of unbelief and he needed to remind himself of who God is. One way to raise the shield of faith is to sing songs of praise as they remind us that God is all powerful (e.g., Jeremiah 32:17) and that nothing is impossible for him ( Luke 1:37 ESV). One of the weapons is the ‘…shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one’ ( Ephesians 6:16). The song is saturated in truth, Ephesians 6:10-20 explains how the Christian life is a battle but that we are equipped with the Armour of God. Louder and louder, you’re gonna hear my praises roar I’m gonna sing, in the middle of the storm I raise a hallelujah, heaven comes to fight for me I raise a hallelujah, my weapon is a melody I raise a hallelujah, louder than the unbelief I raise a hallelujah, in the presence of my enemies It’s a song called ‘ Raise a Hallelujah’ by Bethel Music and it is all about the power of praise when things are difficult. I have had an anthem this week which I keep coming back to it has helped me to communicate with God through some tough things and has really lifted me.
